Arizona

Arizona Sunset

I grew up in the desert convinced that I hated it. When I turned eighteen, I moved out of Arizona immediately, swearing never to return. Since then, I have lived in New Mexico, Texas, Michigan, and North Carolina. And I did, in fact, return to Arizona plenty of times.

Now, living in North Carolina, I miss Arizona more than ever. I miss the incredible sunsets that paint the sky orange and purple. I miss the warm, dry weather that invites you to go for a swim in March or wear shorts in November. So many places in the country are the same as each other...green, lush, full of trees and lakes. But nowhere compares to how beautiful and unique Arizona is.
